The device has a built-in NDIR Infrared sensor, which ensures stable operation of the device. The inaccuracy is up to 100 ppm. Such inaccuracies are sufficient to objectively assess the concentration of CO2 gas in the room and the impact of that concentration on health. For a typical user, 10 ppm to one side or the other is not essential, but laboratories are advised to purchase more specific devices.
Maple does not require any exploitation costs, but can be cleaned with a damp cloth. The use of chemical care products is prohibited! This can damage the CO2 sensor.
The device can be placed on any stable surface where it will not be exposed to vibrations or the risk of falling. Also, we recommend placing the device further from the windows to see more precise CO2 levels in the room.
Connect the device to the power supply. Place the device in the fresh air or in a well-ventilated room for 20 minutes to ensure accurate readings of the device. After 20 minutes of operating the device in the fresh air, press the “SET” button (the button is located on the back of the device) and hold it down for at least 6 seconds. We recommend calibrate device manually once every 6 months while the device is operating.
Connect the supplied USB cable to the Maple CO2 Monitor (on the back of the device). Connect the other end of the USB cable to the supplied adapter. Plug the adapter into a power outlet/socket. The device starts the initialization process, which will take 90 seconds. During this time, the color tones will change periodically at 1 second intervals.
